Definition and licensing of Public Health Laboratory Technologists :

The definition of Public Health Laboratory Technologist (Article 2, Paragraph 2, Law for Medical and Public Health Laboratory Technologists) is as follows:

"Public Health Laboratory Technologists" are licensed by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and perform microbiological, serological, hematological, pathological, and parasitological tests, as well as biochemical tests as defined by law, under the guidance and observation of a physician, using the title of "Public Health Laboratory Technologist".
Method of acquiring license: Apply for license (Not taking the National Exam:)
Person eligible to apply for license: Person who has completed the program in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary medicine, or Pharmacology at a university based on the School Education Law, or the former University Law.
