1.International Association of Medical Laboratory Technologists(IAMLT) The IAMLT has recently changed the name as International Foundation of Biomedical Laboratory Science(IFBLS).
Enrollment of the IAMLT: 1970
The JAMT hosted the 18th Congress of IAMLT at Kobe in 1988. The Crown Prince and Princess of Japan have attended this congress. (Currently Emperor and Empress)
Number of countries affiliated: 39 countries and 2 regions.
Number of the attendants: 1651

2.Asia Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists(AAMLS)
The Inaugural General Assembly was held at Nagoya in Japan on May 14, 1997.
The JAMT has served as a president of the Association since 1997.
Affiliated Laboratory Technologist Associations: 12 Associations from 11 countries. (Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan)
The 1st Conference of AAMLS was held in Malaysia on September, 1991.

3.Exchange of bilateral countries
The exchanges of bilateral countries focusing on Korea and other Asian countries has been progressed, through mutual participation in regular exchange meetings, scientific exchanges, and conferences.

4.Instruction of medical technological education for other countries.
The medical technological education in the form of lectures and practical training has been provided by members of the JAMT upon request to the facilities at which they were employed for laboratory technologists accepted by the following organizations:
1)Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA)
2)Japan International Medical Technology Foundation(JIMTEF)
Overseas trainees accepted by above organizations:
There are two types of the training, which are group-typed and individual-typed.
The group trainees started in 1988.
The individual trainees started in 1990
Number of trainees accepted to date(1988-2000): 229
Individual trainees: 95
Group trainees: 134
